images from Saratok---the rare mantis

My first accidental unaspected lucky close encounter of this rare species of mantis at Kapitan Tay's garden ! We 're looking for spider webs, then,i discovered this lovely pretty guy on a leaf ! My heart was beating fast ! Without hesitation i gently moved closely to him/her.It moved too as i slowly carefully approaching, holding breath i just fired several shots for security captures ! After a while, maybe he realised or smelled i 'm a real good guy ( lol ...),he seemed to co-operate and posed for me !! Damn luck for me :-)

images from Saratok ( part 2 )

i travelled to Saratok on 4th of May to visit a photo-enthusiastic friend living there,Kapitan Tay Hock Chai.

His humbled house is a single storey detach house with carefully trimmed heavenly compound. All the trees and flowers are well planted and organised which attract many different species of insects visiting his place everyday,It's a place of heaven to live, and a place of heaven to capture insects/flora fauna.

Hereby,i take this opportunity to thank Kapitan Tay and his loving wife with their respectful courtesy and great hospitality while me and my wife had a very comfortable stay while at Saratok .
